Over the years I have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful small businesses and organizations. I have been able to provide brand strategy, web design, web development, and hosting management. Below is a selection of websites that I was the lead designer and developer for.
Client: Vanillawood
Industry: eCommerce + Home Goods
Platform: Shopify
Services: Web design, web development, project management
In collaboration with Greenstone Media
Tasteful, modern, edgy and fresh, interior design and home products. After 10 years of operating their home furnishings business, it was time that owners James and Kricken update their eCommerce shop. Their products are now showcased beautifully and increased sales by nearly 50% after 3 months of being launched. This storefront has been active for over 2 years and the client loves the ease of managing products with Shopify.
Client: Beneath the Veneer
Industry: Non-Profit Documentary Project
Platform: WordPress
Services: Branding, web design, web development
Beneath the Veneer is an incredible film in production capturing the stories of young Black men growing up in a southern town. The producers needed a digital space to share insights about the film, develop advocacy materials, donate to the project, share screenings and publish film notes. I created a brand that is strong and met the needs to be urban and clean. Fact sheet, postcards, and other print materials continue to share the brand in addition to the website.
Client: Bahá’ís of Western North Carolina
Industry: Spiritual Community
Platform: WordPress
Services: Branding, web design, web development
The Bahá’ís of Asheville and Western North Carolina were in sore need for a website. Their previous website was so out of date no one knew how to update it. People often would Google their community and little information could be found. This updated brand and website share the spirit of their community while including important features like a calendar synced to the Google Calendar, a Newsletter sign-up, a contact form, and reference library for more information. The updated website made a tremendous difference in sharing events and news with others outside their community.
Client: Mountain Area Radio Reading Service
Industry: Non-profit for the blind and visually impaired
Platform: WordPress
Services: Branding, web design, web development
Mountain Area Radio Reading Service provides a tremendous service to the blind by broadcasting the local news on the radio. They were in sore need of a new website when we got in touch. Through our collaboration together we created a meaningful and accessible logo, and a website that was fully accessible with dynamic text enlargement, integrated podcast RSS feeds, streaming live radio, donation options, and an easy to update program guide. Many blind users provided great feedback which to me, is far more valuable than the design.
